Pre-school through Grade 1 applicants are invited on campus to assess their school readiness. Applicants for Grade 2 through Grade 5 spend the day in a classroom for assessment. All applicants who currently attend another school, must submit academic records from that school.

Students receive a hot lunch, in addition to a salad bar and snacks, which are diversified to meet a wide variety of dietary needs. Fees cover an iPad for each student in Grades 1 to 5, classroom supplies, yearbooks and day field trips.

The application deadline of January 10, 2018 has passed.  At this time we have no openings but are accepting applications should any spaces become available. Please be sure that your application is complete including all school recommendation forms. Applicants will be only contacted for their assessment on a space available basis.

You will be notified of the Admission Committee’s decision by early March.

No. Admission to the school is designed to welcome all people and encourage them to join a life of learning, service and compassion. Students are accepted without regard to race or creed. Preference is given to siblings of current students and parishioner families. A parishioner family is one that, for at least one year prior to applying to St. Stephen's, has:

  • been regular in attendance at worship at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, as determined by the Rector
  • been active, pledging members of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church for at least one year prior to applying to St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School and have made a financial pledge for the upcoming year
  • been actively involved in at least one volunteer ministry or program in the church

In addition, to an interview with the St. Stephen's Director of Admission, the applicant's family must schedule an interview with the Rector of St. Stephen's Church and School.

St. Stephen’s is a full member of the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), the chief accrediting body for independent schools in Florida, and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC).

St. Stephen's received LEED Gold Level Certification for the Main Highway Pavilion.
