Established in 1958 as an outreach project of the church, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School celebrates the past while educating for the future. An oasis in the heart of the Grove, St. Stephen’s serves about 300 students in Pre-K3 – Grade 5. Its mission is to provide students with the academic, ethical, and spiritual foundation to succeed in a diverse and changing world.

Substitute Teachers

Director of Development The Director of Development leads the Development office and works closely with the Head of School and Board of Directors to oversee and manage all aspects of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School development program. The Director of Development must be able to think strategically and practically to implement a comprehensive and results-oriented development plan that includes traditional and innovative strategies. Key components of this plan should include goals, strategies, and timetables for major and capital gifts, the endowment funds, alumni giving, Annual Giving Fund, and should include a focus on tactics to build key relationships with alumni, families, and the broader community. The primary responsibilities of the Director of Development at St. Stephen’s are (1) to oversee strategic fundraising to further the mission and vision of the school (2) to liaise with the Board of Trustees’ Development Committee (3) to effectively cultivate, solicit, and steward constituents (4) to liaise with the greater community (5) to report to the Head of School. View full job description
